Building Control Records

Building Regulation application details are available through the local land charge search system or via a personal search company. Our records only go back to the year 2000. We are unable to provide any information or documentation for any works undertaken before this date.

If you require a copy of a Building Regulation document from the search a charge of £12.00 (including VAT) is payable, per copy. 

To request a document please email building.control@iow.gov.uk. Please include your contact details. When we have received your request, we will contact you to discuss your needs and take payment as part of this call.

Requests to view historic records for the purposes of preparing a forthcoming application will be considered as pre-application advice and charged in accordance with the Building Regulation (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 2010.
