What is the Isle of Wight Community Safety Partnership (CSP)?
The Isle of Wight Community Safety Partnership (CSP) consists of several organisations.
These organisations work together to tackle, prevent and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
Under the crime and disorder act 1998 Community Safety Partnerships are a legal need in every local authority area.
The organisations that form the CSP are
- Isle of Wight Council
- Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary
- Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service
- National Probation service
- Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB
Together the CSP organisations have developed a strategic assessment.
What are the CSP priorities?
- Serious Violence Duty Compliance
- Reduce Reoffending and first-time entry into criminal justice system
- Reduce Anti-social Behaviour
- Complete Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews (DARDRs)
- Produce the Prevent Strategy and Partnership Plan
- Community Engagement and awareness
- Gender Based Violence and VAWG in public spaces
- Reducing Violent Crime and Weapons Offences
- Support provisions with youth crime reduction and early intervention
- Raise awareness about online safety
CSP meeting dates
There are four CSP meetings each year, held once every quarter.
