Build it like a Roman at Newport Villa

Get crafty this May half term for a family friendly clay event on Wednesday 29 May (10am to 3pm).

Be inspired by Roman tile decorations and make your own box tile inspired pencil pot or learn more about building techniques of the Roman period and make your own clay structure to take home.

There will be a special reduced price of just £1 per person (to include entry and activity), and no booking required – just turn up between 10am and 3pm.

You can find the Roman Villa in Cypress Road, Newport, just a short walk from the town centre. Please note, the site is only partially accessible to wheelchair users.

The Villa will be open as normal for visitors to explore the Roman remains and garden.
The event is being organised by the Isle of Wight Council Heritage Service.
