Island flood warning for Monday morning

The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for the whole Island coast, but also Cowes, East Cowes and Newport for high tide (11.37am) on Monday morning (10 February).

Advice for residents local to these and other Island coastal areas is:
  • If you have flood protection, please install it one hour before high tide (expected at 11.37am on Monday).
  • Move cars from seafront car parks.
Our strategic sandbag locations are stocked and open at:
  • Well Road - East Cowes
  • St Mary's Road car park - Cowes
  • Simeon Street rec - Ryde. 
Additional sandbags will be placed at River Road car park - Yarmouth later today.
