Half term activities are on offer at to two Island museums in February.

At Newport Roman Villa, clay days return on Wednesday 14 or Friday 16 between 9.30am and 3pm. There will be a mythical monster museum trail and an opportunity for visitors to model their own clay monster to take home.

Entry to Newport Roman Villa including all activities will be just £1 per person on these special days. The site will be fully open to explore the historic remains including museum and garden.

If the activity room is busy a kit will be provided, so monsters can be made at home.

Meanwhile, at the Museum of Island History on Tuesday 13 and Thursday 15 there will be free craft activities for families and a horse hunt to guide visitors around the museum.

Staff will share the story of the famous Isle of Wight Rodeo Riders, who were based on the Isle of Wight from 1924 until 1939 and travelled the country performing incredible stunts on horseback. This half term entry to the museum is £1 for adults and 50p for children which includes all activities.

If the weather is extreme on the day, please contact us prior to travelling 01983 823433 (Museum of Island History) or 01983 529720 (Newport Roman Villa)/
