An event suspension request may be made by anyone wishing to suspend all parking from an area for an event to take place. We may charge a discounted flat rate of £75 per road, per event, per day. This is for community events, charities and carnivals between 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.

Your event suspension request must be made at least 28 days before the suspension start date. Requests received within 28 days of the request date may not be approved if we do not have the resources available to process the requests.
A copy of your public liability insurance will need to be uploaded for review when submitting your application. Payment by debit or credit card is required before a suspension is granted.
Alterations to times, dates, or locations cannot be made after your request has been submitted. Refunds will not be given even if the event doesn’t go ahead.
Our decision whether or not to charge the discounted rate is final.
