Parish and Town Council Vacancies

Details of all known Parish and Town Council Vacancies will be posted here. They are posted as and when the Proper Officer is notified of them. Updates to original postings will be added below the original post. The details will be removed after six months.

Chillerton and Gatcombe Parish Council

16 September 2025: A vacancy has occurred in Chillerton and Gatcombe Parish Council.

07 October 2025: The Proper Officer did not receive sufficient requests for a by-election to be held. The Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.

Northwood Parish Council

28 November 2025: A vacancy has occurred in Northwood Parish Council. 

19 December 2025: The Proper Officer did not receive sufficient requests for a by-election to be held. The Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.

Rookley Parish Council

07 January 2026: A vacancy has occurred in Rookley Parish Council. The last date for ten local government electors for the Parish to give Notice in writing that they wish for the vacancy to be filled by means of an election is Tuesday 27 January 2026.

If the required number of requests are not received, then the Parish Council will proceed to fill the vacancy by means of co-option

Wootton Bridge Parish Council

10 November 2025: Two vacancies have occurred in Wootton Bridge Parish Council. 

01 December 2025: The Proper Officer did not receive sufficient requests for a by-election to be held. The Parish Council will fill the vacancies by co-option
