Our transparency data publication
We are committed to openness and transparency and provide information that explains how the Council spends its money.
As a Council we must comply with The Local Government Transparency Code set out by the Government. It lists categories of information which allow scrutiny of spend and performance.
The publication schedule is according to Local government transparency code 2015, which was updated 29 January 2025.
Expenditure over £500
Expenditure over £500 data is published quarterly.
Fraud
Counter Fraud performance data is published annually.
Gender pay gap
Gender pay gap data is published annually.
A snapshot of pay that shows the difference in earnings between women and men.
Government purchasing card payments
Government purchasing card payments data is published quarterly.
Grants and funding
Grants and funding data is published annually.
Details of grants and payments to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.

Local authority land
Local authority land data is published annually.
Local highways transparency report
Local highways authorities should publish their Local Highway Maintenance Transparency Report annually.
The Department for Transport (DfT) expects these reports to be published to demonstrate how funding is being used to maintain local roads. The reports typically include information on maintenance spending, network condition, pothole repairs, and planned maintenance activities.
Members allowances and conflict of interests
Members allowances and conflict of interests data is published annually.
Modern slavery and human trafficking statement
Modern slavery and human trafficking statement is published annually.
Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires large employers to produce a modern slavery statement each financial year.
National Fraud Initiative data
National Fraud Initiative data is published annually.
This includes data on counter-fraud work, such as the number of fraud cases investigated, the monetary value of fraud detected, and the number of staff involved in counter-fraud activities.
Parking
Parking data is published annually.
The annual report is a summary of our activity during the past financial year. It also shows how we are working to provide a balanced and sustainable council on behalf of the community.
Pay policy
Pay policy data is published annually.
The purpose of this policy is to provide an open and transparent framework that ensures clarity, fairness and consistency in the remuneration of our workforce. It sets out the council’s approach to the pay of its workforce for the financial year.
Performance
Performance data is published annually.
Performance management involves setting goals and targets against which we monitor the council's progress.
Pothole information
Highway maintenance information is published annually.
Local authorities are required to provide this information by the Department for Transport (DfT).
Procurement
Procurement data is published quarterly.
By sharing information about our spending and contracts, we ensure that our residents can see how public money is being used and trust that it is being managed responsibly.
Prompt payment performance
Prompt payment performance data is published annually.
This is to increase transparency and accountability in public sector procurement. It forms part of the government’s prompt payment policy, which is designed to ensure that councils like ours pay suppliers on time. By doing so, we aim to reduce late payments and provide better support to businesses.
Selling to the council
Selling to the council data is published quarterly.
Information on contracts awarded by the council, forthcoming contract opportunities, and orders to suppliers with a value that exceeds £5,000.
Senior officers salaries and responsibilities
Senior officers salaries and responsibilities data is published annually.
Details of senior council staff whose earnings are over £50,000.
Social housing
Social housing information is published annually.
Social Housing Assets - the council does not hold any social housing.
Supplying the council
Supplying the council data is published quarterly.
Trade Union facility time
Trade Union facility time data is published annually.
The Trade Union Act was passed in May 2016. One of the elements of this Act is the requirement for employers in the public sector to publish information on facility time.
Waste contract
Waste contract data is published annually.
This service is delivered by Tailia on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council.
Workforce
Workforce data is published annually.
We publish workforce data to comply with the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) and to promote transparency. This data helps us to understand and address inequalities within our workforce, to make sure we meet out legal obligations under the Equality Act.
