Where we advertise

Where the Council is looking to run a formal tender or a procurement process there are two key portals which Suppliers need to be aware of and, if interested in Council opportunities be registered on.

Electronic tendering system

To advertise and conduct tender processes the Council uses a system known as an “electronic tendering or e-Tendering” system call ‘ProContract’ which can be accessed via the South East Business Portal. It enables the entire tender process to be securely carried out electronically using the internet.

It is important for any Supplier who is interested in the opportunity to work with the Council to ensure they are registered on the portal

Please note that this portal is used by other organisations. This means to view our opportunities you need to narrow the results by selecting "Isle of Wight Council" from the organisations list.

Once you have selected an opportunity you will able to

  • register your interest
  • download the tender documents

If your organisation is not registered on the portal, you can register for free.

The system issues alerts and notifications to Suppliers for suitable tender opportunities in line with their registered areas of interest.

It will also show other local authorities in the south east region if desired.

For enquiries or assistance with registering on the ProContract portal

Find a tender service

Another key area where details of the Council’s tender opportunities are advertised as well as detail of contracts awarded is via the Governments Find a Tender web portal (otherwise known as the Central Digital Platform).

It is also free to register on this portal.

Support and help related to registering can be accessed by their contact us page.
