When will the elections take place?
The election, if contested, will be held on Thursday 10 July 2025
Election details
Polling Cards will be delivered in mid-June 2025. It will give details of either your local Polling Station or of your Postal Vote. This depends on your choice of voting method.
Important dates
The last date to apply to 'Register to Vote' in this election, will be Tuesday 24 June 2025.
To allow you to vote in person at this or any other election, you will need an approved form of photographic identification. If you do not have any suitable form of photographic identification you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate. These are provided by the UK Government.
The last date to apply for a 'Voter Authority Certificate' will be 5pm on Wednesday 2 July 2025.
If you know that you will be unable to vote in person, then you can apply for either a ‘Postal Vote’ or ‘Proxy Vote’ (where someone votes on your behalf).
The last date to apply for, or to cancel a 'Postal Vote' will be 5pm on Wednesday 25 June 2025.
The last date to apply for, or to cancel a 'Proxy Vote' will be 5pm on Wednesday 2 July 2025.
